Tennis court fencing keeps the ball in the playing area, secures the court and separates it from the walkways or property around it. Why a court needs it
A fixed boundary keeps play controlled and safe. It stops balls reaching nearby zones, protects passers-by, and on a private property it cleanly divides the court from the garden or driveway. On public courts it limits access after hours while keeping visibility for supervision. Whether it is a backyard court or a competition venue, the boundary matters for playability as much as security.
Height and layout
Court fencing is not one height all the way round. A typical layout runs:

Steel posts with corner bracing carry the mesh, tensioned across full spans, with pedestrian gates near the court access points. Layouts are adjusted for single or multiple courts, and we confirm the dimensions on site.
Materials
We use galvanised chainwire mesh on steel posts and welded rails, with PVC-coated mesh available for a cleaner finish and extra protection. Top and bottom rails support the run and straining wires hold the tension. Post footings are set in concrete, or core-drilled where the court is on a hard surface. Gate frames and mesh match the rest of the fence.
Gates
Every court gets pedestrian and, where needed, equipment gates: lockable pedestrian gates for secure entry, wider gates for maintenance, and hardware such as self-closing hinges, latches or padlocks. Frames sit level with the playing surface so there is no trip hazard, and placement follows the surrounding paths and access points.
Options
Windscreens cut wind and add privacy, rebound panels suit solo practice, and gate locks handle after-hours control. We also fence multi-purpose courts that combine tennis with basketball or futsal.
Maintenance
Galvanised mesh resists rust and coated posts last outdoors, so upkeep is light. A seasonal check catches any sagging or damage, and gate hinges or latches may want the occasional adjustment on a well-used court.
