A security storage cage creates a locked, enclosed store inside a building without changing the structure around it. The mesh keeps unauthorised hands out while letting you see in and keeping airflow through, which makes it ideal for tools, stock, archives, equipment and anything else that needs controlled access. We build them for commercial, industrial and multi-unit residential buildings across Newcastle and the Hunter.
Where cages go
- Apartment and strata carparks, as individual resident storage units
- Warehouses and dispatch bays
- Commercial buildings and server rooms
- Tool and equipment rooms
- Retail back-of-house
- Shared storage rooms in tenancy buildings
How they are built
We use galvanised or welded mesh panels on a steel post frame anchored to the floor, with lockable gates on padlock or latch systems. Cages can run full height or partial height, with an optional mesh ceiling where full enclosure is needed, and panels are modular so they fit tight or irregular spaces. All materials are indoor-grade and corrosion resistant. Baseplate anchors are chosen to suit the slab, and ceiling height, doorway clearance and access points are factored into every plan.
Access control
Access is set to how the cage is used:
- Swing or sliding mesh gates
- Padlock-ready latches and keyed handles
- Code locks for multi-user areas
- Compatibility with third-party swipe-card systems
Gate widths are adjusted for walkways, equipment access or pallet storage.
Configuration
Every cage is either modular or custom built to the space. We adjust the layout to the site, add top mesh where security calls for it, and can finish in powder coat. In a strata carpark that means individual lockable bays for residents or owners, in a warehouse it means tool, parts or high-value containment, and in an office or data room it means an extra secured layer around sensitive equipment.
Installing with minimal disruption
We inspect the site and plan the layout, fabricate or select panels and gates, mark the floor and anchor posts, hang gates and fit locks, then check and adjust. Cages are securely fixed but not permanent, so panels and gates can be removed or reconfigured later. On shared-access buildings we schedule around approved times and follow building access rules.
Tell us what you need to store and the space you have for it, and we will build a cage that protects it and fits the footprint.
